The Montclair Girls Track Team had a remarkable performance Sunday at the Essex County Indoor Track and Field Championships. Their point total of 90 was double the second place total earned by Millburn. Montclair had a well-rounded effort scoring in field events, distance events and sprint events. Montclair scored in 9 of the 11 scoring events.

On the boys’ side Weequahic squeeked out the championship moving past second place St Benedict’s Prep by coming in 2nd in the final event, the 4 x 400 meter relay, to the Gray Bees 3rd place.  The final score was Weequahic 50, St Benedict’s Prep 49 and third place East Orange Campus, 46.
