On Tuesday, Cedar Grove defeated Shabazz to complete the second of the Preliminary Rounds to determine the final two seeds for the Greater Newark Baseball Tournament. On Thursday Bloomfield Tech (21) will face Cedar Grove (17) to determine the 15th seed in the Main Draw while Belleville (22) travels to Glen Ridge with the winner earning the 16th seed.
The main draw of the tournament opens on Saturday with the First Round of eight games. All games are scheduled for the higher seed’s home field.
