The semifinal matchups are set for the 2024 Essex County Boys, and Girls Basketball Tournaments. On Saturday, at the higher seed the Quarterfinals were competed.
On the girls’ side Immaculate Conception (1) defeated Glen Ridge (8), University (2) won over Caldwell (7), West Orange (3) moved past Central (6) and Newark Academy (4) eliminated Mt St Dominic (5).
For the boys, it was Immaculate Conception (1) victorious over Newark Tech (8), St Benedict’s Prep (2) advancing over Newark Collegiate (7), Arts (4) defeated Payne Tech (5) and Seton Hall Prep (6) upsetting East Orange Campus (3).
All four semifinal games will be played at the West Orange High School’s court on Saturday, February 10.
The lineup is an 11am start with the girls Immaculate versus Newark Academy game. Following, at approximately 1pm will be the boys Immaculate versus Arts contest. At 3pm Seton Hall Prep will face St Benedict’s Prep. The final game will be the girls matchup of University and West Orange.
