Tuesday’s storm wiped out the seven 2nd Preliminary Round games in the Boys Essex County Basketball Tournament and also two games in the Girls Tournament. These games are scheduled to be made up over Wednesday and Thursday. The girls plan to schedule  most of their First Round of the main draw, “Round of 16” , is intact while boys side, with several more teams involved, have changed their First Round to “on or by Wednesday, February 4th”. This enables the tournaments to regain their original plans of the Quarterfinals for Saturday, February 7 and the Semifinals on the weekend of February 13 and 14. The site of the finals is still undetermined.

Wednesday’s Boys Schedule has Caldwell visiting Newark Academy at 4pm and Science Park at Shabazz at 6pm.

6pm:     North 13th St Tech at Millburn, Belleville at Barringer

7pm:     Glen Ridge at Livingston
