The Seton Hall Pirates withstood a furious third quarter run by the Red Raiders of East Side  and, by making a few key baskets down the stretch held on to win the 2016 Essex County Boys Basketball Tournament. A large crowd at Essex County College, Newark witnessed a 15-3 advantage in the third quarter by East Side but the shots failed to find the bottom of the net in the final period.
