Although the snow storm upset Tuesday’s round of preliminary games Thursday saw teams advance in the Essex County Boys Basketball and Girls Basketball Tournaments. On the girls side, with one final preliminary game to go, there are 7 First Round games slated for Saturday with the top seeds now getting into the action.

For the boys, the final Preliminary Rounds should be played by Saturday. The First Round has been rescheduled to be played on or by Wednesday, February 4th.

Both tournaments are scheduled to play their Quarterfinal Round on Saturday, February 7th at the higher seeds. The Semifinals then move to neutral sites.  The brackets for these tournaments may be found under our gray “Tournaments” tab at the top of the home page
