The pairing for the Semifinal Round of the Essex County Softball Tournament are set after Saturday’s Quarterfinal games.

Here’s what happened;

Verona (4) defeated Columbia (5) by a score of 4-1 while

Cedar Grove (1) eliminated Livingston (9), 6-3.

Verona and Cedar Grove will face off in the 4:30pm Semifinal on Friday.

Newark Academy (11) upset West Essex (3) winning 7-5 and

Mt St Dominic Academy (2) was victorious over Millburn (10) by 10-0.

Newark Academy plays Mt St Dominic Academy at 7pm on Friday.

PLEASE NOTE: The Site for Friday’s Semifinal Round is TBA. The long time site at Ivy Hill Park at Seton Hall University is undergoing some repair. It may be available for Friday, if not then Caldwell High School will be the alternate site.
