East Side’s tough rebounding in the final period allowed them to gain a slight lead which held up in the final moments of the 2017 Essex County Boys Basketball Tournament’s Championship game on Saturday. East Side defeated West Side by a score of 43-38 to take home the championship trophy. Both sides showed remarkable athleticism and sportsmanship in a fiercely contested game.
