It was a tight and exciting championship final at Ivy Hill Park on Sunday evening. The final game of the Essex County Softball Tournament saw Cedar Grove, the top seed, facing second seeded Mt St Dominic Academy. The game was scoreless for five and a half innings until Cedar Grove was able to build a run and hold off the Mount for a 1-0 victory. The win gave the school its first Essex County Softball Championship since 2010.
