The Greater Newark Tournament’s “Play In” format has nearly played through. Eleven teams have vied for the last two seeds in the baseball tournament’s round of 16. The last four will find out by Thursday evening who will advance to the First Round. The winner of the game between East Side (19) and Bloomfield Tech (18) will earn the final seed in the round of 16 and shall face top-seeded Seton Hall Prep on Saturday. Science Park (20) plays at Montclair Kimberley (17) with the victor going on to be the 15th seed in the First Round, and will play at Millburn. The bracket for the entire First Round may be found under our gray “Tournaments” tab on the upper right side of our home page. The bracket is updated uponcompletion of each round of play.
