The Essex County Softball Tournament championship game was set to be played on Friday evening. The players from Cedar Grove and Mt St Dominic Academy were warmed-up and ready to start. However a strong storm with pounding rain drove players and fans to seek shelter and ultimately caused the game to be postponed. The new schedule is for the game to be played Monday evening, 6pm, at the same location, Ivy Hill Park on the campus of Seton Hall University.
