The 2013 Essex County Softball Tournament has completed its Quarterfinal Round. On Friday, Livingston (1) defeated Caldwell (9), 5-2, to advance while Nutley (3) lost to Cedar Grove (6), 3-2. After postponements on Saturday it was Mt St Dominic (2) winning over Newark Academy (7), 14-2 and Bloomfield (4) edging West Essex (5) by a score of 3-2. The tournament now moves on to Friday’s semifinals at Ivy Hill Park in Newark when Mt St Dominic meets Cedar Grove at 6pm and Bloomfield faces Livingston at 8pm.
