The first of three rounds of preliminary, or “Play In” games has been completed in the Essex County Boys Basketball Tournament.
The three rounds shall determine which eight teams shall make it into the First Round of the tournament’s main draw scheduled for Saturday, February 8. On Thursday four games were complete. Here are the results;
Montclair Kimberley Academy (27) defeated Science Park (33) and will face Livingston (22).
Newark Collegiate Academy (28) moved past Cedar Grove (34) and now plays at Belleville (21).
Weequahic (29) was victorious over Cristo Rey (35) and shall travel to Verona (20).
Newark Academy (30) eliminated Technology (36) and seeks to upset Millburn (19).
