The Essex County Girls Volleyball Tournament has 27 teams entered and will be set to begin by next week.
The top eight seeded teams have been awarded “byes” until the First Round. The remaining 19 teams must navigate the “Play In” preliminary rounds in hopes of finding a spot in the eight unfilled First Round slots. There shall be two rounds of preliminary games with the first to be completed on or by Tuesday, October 12th. The second, and final, preliminary round is scheduled to be played on or by Thursday, October 14th.
That will set the stage for the tournament’s main draw with the First Round set for Saturday, October 16th. The quarterfinals shall be completed on October 19th. All the above rounds are played at the court of the higher seed.
The Semifinal Round is scheduled for Thursday, October 21st at West Essex Regional High School. THe championship match to be played on Saturday, October 23rd at Bloomfield HS.
