The Essex County Field Hockey Tournament completed its First Round with three games played on Saturday.

Fourth Seeded Glen Ridge defeated Newark Academy, the ninth seed.

It was Millburn (5) over Livingston (8) while Montclair Kimberley Academy (6) moved past Columbia (7).

This sets up this week’s Quarterfinal Round in which Millburn plays at Glen Ridge while the third seed, Mt St Dominic Academy will host Montclair Kimberley Academy.

The top two seeds, West Essex (1) and Montclair (2) have received “byes” until the Semifinal round scheduled for October 8th
