On Sunday afternoon the Essex County Softball Tournament held it’s Semifinal Round. The first match-up had 2nd seeded Mt St Dominic’s Academy facing the 6th seeded team from Caldwell High School. Mt St Dominic prevailed by a score of 9-6. In the second game Cedar Grove, seeded 9th, upset the 4th seeded Nutley team, 10-4. This has set up the championship game to be held Friday evening, May 23rd at Ivy Hill Park on the campus of Seton Hall University. These two teams faced each other in both the 2008 and 2009 finals with The Mount winning both games.
