At Thursday’s Quarterfinals the top four seeds of the Greater Newark Tournament, Essex County’s Baseball Tournament captured victories. These teams will advance to Saturday’s Semifinal Round to be played Saturday at Verona. With showers and thunderstorms in the forecast game times are planned to be moved up one hour.

On Thursday

Seton Hall (1) won over Cedar Grove (8) while Nutley (4) defeated Columbia (5).

Seton Hall and Nutley will face off at 10am.

Millburn (2) edged Newark Academy (7) and Livingston (3) eliminated West Essex (6)

Millburn and Livingston are scheduled for a 1pm game time.
