Mt St Dominic Academy, propelled by a 12-run 1st inning, dominated West Essex High School in the championship final of the 2015 Essex County Softball Tournament. Memorial Day’s evening final, held at Ivy Hill Park at Seton Hall University,  saw the Lady Lions of MSD add six more runs in the second and third innings to put the second-seeded Lady Knights of West Essex under their control and repeat as County Champs. The game was shortened due to the softball run rule with the final score of 18-1 recorded.
