The “Greater Newark Tournament”, Essex County’s historical baseball tournament, completed it’s First Round of games on Saturday.
Seton Hall (1) defeated East Side (16) while Cedar Grove (8) won over Bloomfield (9). The winners will play at Seton Hall on Thursday.
Nutley (4) was victorious over Barringer (13) and Columbia (5) defeated North 13th St Tech (21) . This sets up their Thursday clash at Nutley on May 10.
Millburn (2) eliminated Verona (15) while Newark Academy (7) eliminated West Orange (10). The winners meet at the higher seed on Thursday.
Livingston (3) won over Montclair (14) and West Essex (6) beat MKA (11) . They face off at Livingston on the 10th.
