It was Championship Saturday in Essex County with five County Champions crowned during the day’s events. At Woodman Field the home team, Montclair, won the Girls Track & Field Championships. East Orange Campus won the boys title.

At mid-day the Livingston Lancers edged the Bloomfield Bengals in the County Boys Volleyball Tournament championship final, 2-1.

It was late afternoon when Seton Hall Prep won its fifth consecutive Greater Newark Tournament Baseball crown over Millburn. The score was 4-2.

Finally, under the lights in the early evening, Mt St Dominic Academy overcame West Essex, 3-0 to take the County Softball Tournament championship final.
